but not accessing the catalog with different OS's. most google searches I do come up with talk of conversions between the systems which is easily doable. I can't imagine I'm the only person who might use both a PC and MAC and try to share a single database between the 2 OS's. All it needs is a copy of your current catalog with a different name. Somebody, like yourself, with this configuration would have to try it out. All it needs is a copy of your current catalog with a different name.

So, my question remains - can you successfully use the same LR catalog on both a MAC and PC going back and forth between OS's without causing an issue? Thx. The catalog is located on local drive "S" that is a NTFS partition accessible to both the MAC and PC - only one machine can be run at a time so no risk of them both accessing the catalog at the same time. I run both a MAC and PC in a dual boot configuration.

Lightroom does not support catalogs on a network drive. I would want to access and update the catalog in LR for the MAC and PC whenever I happen to be using that particular machine but they will never be run at the same time. recent convert to MAC but still use PC as well and was wondering if I can open and use the LR catalog that exists on a shared drive between the 2 machines (not at the same time).
